The UPWATER project is exploring innovative methods to monitor, model, mitigate, and prevent groundwater pollution, focussing on (novel) approaches like different passive sampling techniques, pollution source apportionment modeling, and nature-based treatment systems such as floating rootmats, bioelectrochemical wetlands, Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors and biofilters. These efforts aim at safeguarding water quality across Europe. Curious to learn more about UPWATER’s water purification methods and how we are exploring and implementing solutions across different case studies?
